Just a few words to tell you that I really enjoyed my stay at your English school in Malta.  Lessons were very well organized, teachers knew their stuff really well and used interesting and innovative teaching methods to help us learn English better.  I really enjoyed the relaxing ambience at school and its surroundings.  I would recommend Gateway to anybody who wants to learn English in Malta and I really look forward to going back next year.  Best Regards, Giulia Cresti (Student from Italy)

Staying at GSE residence feels like as if you are staying at a five star student residence - very good location in St. Julian’s just next to the school, nice neighbourhood, comfortable rooms, excellent food and amazing friends.  What’s best – there’s WiFi Internet access all over the place and I could keep in touch with family and friends back home. 

My stay in Malta was wonderful. I learnt much more than I expected as we spoke English the whole day. I have met there a lot of people from different countries and now I can chat with them in English! Moreover, Malta is a beautiful island. It is a perfect place to learn English and also do some sightseeing. I would love to come back!

Regarding the family, they were extremely nice, understanding and kind to me. I strongly recommend this family to stay with. The school was excellent.  There were only 8 students per class and teachers were always focused on our improvement.  Also, very interesting trips were organised and Í think that it is a good idea to get to know the island really well. 

My teachers were really good, classes were very dynamic and there was individual attention at all times. I remember the classes with Lynn… they were great! It was simply impossible to get bored during the lesson. The people at Gateway were all very helpful and always ready to answer my questions with a smile.

I stayed with a very nice host family.  They helped me a lot.  They were really friendly and during the time I spent with them, I felt as if I were at home. The food was really good and I could practise my speaking all the time.

I’m already looking forward to visiting Malta and GSE again next year! 

I was in Malta for the Intensive English Course.  It was such a perfect combination – I had General English lessons in the morning and then Conversational classes in the afternoon in a very small group.  The conversational classes were great as we were speaking and discussing all the time.  I really improved my speaking thanks to the Conversational classes.    

My experience at GSE was a beautiful one, not only because GSE is on an island paradise, but the people that form part of the team at school made me feel at home.  My teacher, Mary Berry, gave me a lot of attention and I could feel that I was learning and improving my English quickly and efficiently, given that I was there for 5 months.
I also had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery on the island, right in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea.

My one-to-one lessons with Jane were amazing!  You really learn a lot when it’s just you and the teacher in the classroom.  I could see that I did a lot of progress in a very short time.

Relaxing and peaceful environment, excellent teachers and fantastic classmates!  That is how I describe my experience at GSE.  I chose GSE because a friend of mine had recommended the school.  There were students of different nationalities in the classroom and it helped me a lot as we were communicating only in English.  I really liked the fact that although I was there in June, the group sizes were really small.  My teacher Christabelle was a really good motivator and she made sure that each and every student in my group participated in the lesson.  What a great experience!

I had never thought that learning English could be so enjoyable!  Mercedes, my teacher at GSE, got us talking and expressing ourselves during the lesson.  Grammar was real fun and I could use it for the first time in expressing myself in writing and speaking.  I had never learnt so much new vocabulary in two weeks.  We watched DVDs about really interesting topics, discussed them in class and then wrote short reports about what we had discussed.  What better way to learn English?

I attended Gateway School of English twice for the Business English Course.  The Business English teachers at GSE are business professionals themselves and have a lot of experience in their field.  They use contemporary business topics and innovative digital material such as podcasts and videos from the Internet which make the lesson more interesting using real life situations.  I can clearly remember the lesson about Corporate Social Responsibility where each student in our group had to create a CSR policy in English for a particular business model.  This lesson was especially useful for my job, as I work for a multinational company.  I am looking forward to my third Business English course at GSE!

First of all, I'd like to thank you once again for everything.   Your help, your kindness and your organization was superb. It was so good to see that you all do this work honestly from the heart. I'm very happy to have chosen your English school. This period of 3 weeks was a really wonderful learning experience. I liked very much everything in Malta, especially the lessons.  They were so interesting.  I really enjoyed them, maybe for the first time in my life.

I would like to thank you for my time in Malta last year.  It was a lot of fun to learn English at your School.   Above all, taking my classes with "Marcelle", who is a very patient teacher, was a great experience.  She knew how to make our learning enjoyable with very interesting topics for discussion and everyone got really involved.  The fact that we were just four students in a group was really important as it was like I was taking a one-to-one course.  I must say that my stay at your school residence was very comfortable and pleasant. I was living right next to the school and I miss a lot the delicious food and the friendly atmosphere there.

I also got my PADI diving license in just three weeks and I could see Malta underwater.  It was a truly amazing experience!

It was very gratifying to meet people from different countries, it was real fun. I would certainly recommend your School to my friends to have a good time and to learn English at the same time.

At GSE I felt very special.  The teachers and staff there give a lot of importance to individual attention and provide a really personalized service.  Although I was attending a group course in summer, after the lesson, my teacher found the time to explain things which I didn’t understand during the lesson.  It was very easy to speak to the staff at school and they recommended places which I could visit during my free time.  You feel like part of the family! I was staying at the residence that is right next to the school and run by the family.  After breakfast, it took me only 30 seconds from the residence to school.  In the evenings I could spend the time with friends from different countries.  An experience which I will never forget!

Everything was very well organized: my airport transfers, the hotel accommodation and the daily transfer from the hotel accommodation to the school and back.
The programme of my One-to-One Business English course was specifically designed to meet my personal expectations and my personal requirements, but also taking into consideration my personal English language skills and abilities. My teacher, Alfred, was very flexible in covering topics which I really needed to improve on due to my profession.
The School staff worked excellently with the result that I felt as if I worked with friends and partners!
 
Everything was perfect from the beginning and I was really pleased that I got the possibility to improve my English at GSE.
 
I will definitely visit Gateway School of English some time in the near future.
